According to Foxconn officials, Foxconn Technology Group announced that it has hired Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a well-known respiratory disease expert, to serve as the group’s general consultant for new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and resumption of work. In response to the new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and safe resumption of work and production, Academician Zhong Nanshan and his team will provide a series of consultants and guidance to Foxconn for free.
Foxconn currently has nearly one million employees and more than 30 technology parks in mainland China. Foxconn said that employees are the greatest wealth of an enterprise. Foxconn will take the health and safety of employees and their families as the highest principle, and strive to achieve a win-win situation between employee health care and the safe resumption of work and production of the enterprise.
Earlier, IT House reported that citing sources in the supply chain, according to Foxconn’s previous plan, they hoped to resume 50% of its production in mainland China by the end of February, and planned to resume 80% of its production in mainland China in March.
Foxconn’s main iPhone production base is in Zhengzhou, while Shenzhen is its mainland headquarters. Of course, a small number of iPhones are also assembled in Shenzhen.
